10 Interesting Ways to Write a Letter to Your Brother Telling Him About Your Performance in Your Current School
Letter One.
Dear Brother,
Good day to you. I wanted to give you an update on how things are going for me in school. Can you recall how Dad was skeptical about sending me to a boarding school away from home where I would be all by myself and have to make certain decisions myself?
One of his major points was that I can be very lazy and need someone to push me to work hard else my grades will be a mess. Now, guess whose performance has been excellent so far?
I have been working tirelessly and my grades are proof of my claims. This is meant to be a surprise but I cannot keep it from you. I had straight A’s in my science courses and I am going to be receiving the award for best science student at our end-of-year party in December.
This is an achievement I am very proud of because I did put in the work. I cannot wait to see our parents grin with joy when I walk down the hall to receive my award soon.
I will be honest here, I had to sideline extracurricular activities to get to the point I got in my academics. People consider me a nerd here because I use reading glasses. I will work on balancing my social activities and academic work next year.
Hopefully, you will have some words of advice and strategy on how to go about it when we meet during the holidays, you know I cannot wait to see you all.
Take care of yourself.
Love,
Amanda.
Letter Two.
Hi Brother Godson,
This semester has been one hell of a rollercoaster, navigating through it has been a major challenge and this is new because everything usually goes easily for me.
My performance at school has hit a few bumps and I find myself confused a lot about subjects that I used to grasp easily.
Since the robbery attack at our house, I have not gotten myself. I sit in class and before you know it, my mind races back to the event and I start drowning in fear once again.
When I try to study at night, I see those evil robbers trying to touch me and the picture of them shooting is Dad still very fresh in my head.
Lately, I’ve been seeking additional support from my tutors. I have a session with my counselor every week and once a month, I go for therapy. My therapist thinks I am holding myself back from moving on, but how do I move on? I miss Dad so much and it’s like nothing else in this wicked work matters.
I have to stop at this point because I am beginning to tear up again. Please say a prayer to me whenever you can.
Things are not easy for me and I am having a difficult time coping. I hope mummy is getting better, please don’t let her know I told you all of this. I don’t need her worrying about me too. Take care of yourself, I know it’s not easy on your end as well.
Love you always,
Cassie.

Letter Four.
Hello Brother,
Balancing my academics and life generally has been a difficult task this semester. You will find me juggling deadlines, late-night studying, extracurricular activities, finding time for personal reflection, and trying to keep my relationship with family and friends going.
Would you believe that I have finally uncovered a passion for Arts subjects? Something I thought would never happen.
I have been so captivated by literature, that this new revelation in my academic journey has shown me that what is meant for you will find its way to you at the end of the day’s end.
Your TED talk on maintaining an equilibrium in life has been of great help to me this school year. I try to make schedules and plan my days. I also worked on building discipline to meet deadlines.
It has been amazing, this year has been more of self-discovery and I have realized how much I have grown by just being in college. I look forward to seeing you on your next trip Brother Karmen.

Letter Five
Dear Brother Lawrence,
The school has not been as easy as it used to, just like you anticipated. Being in my senior year has opened my eyes to new things, new courses, so much workload, and new responsibilities as we have just been made prefects.
Right now, the only way to stay afloat these drowning challenges is collaboration and that is all I have been about.
My performance has not hit any bumps because I joined a night reading club, I work as a team with other senior leaders to achieve goals, I have a day study group for brainstorming and the list is unending.
Although it leaves me with just a little personal time, I must confess that I have found strength in collaboration. Your emphasis on teamwork has so much rubbed off on me and I am very grateful I learned that from you, the results I have been getting are mind-blowing.
I have also realized that playtime is over, I am fast becoming a man and the sooner I act like it, the better for me.
However, I still get a chance to play rabble tennis and badminton on Sunday evenings as a way of chilling and clearing my head because all work and no play leaves Jack a dull boy.
Sometimes I miss you so much and want to seek permission to come home for a weekend but then, I remember I’m supposed to be a hard guy and school is the phase of getting hard, so I really wouldn’t want to ruin it.
Best regards brotherly,
Remi.
Letter Six
Hello Brother,
In the last letter you sent me, you asked about my performance at school. Consider this a reply to your question.
Overall, I am having a swell time at this school and I am grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow. I have a bunch of cool kids as classmates and everyone is doing well in their way.
We have lots of kind teachers too who go out of their way to ensure that everyone gets it right, and as a result, our performances as a class are fair. Personally speaking, I will say, my performance has gotten way better than it used to be.
The learning environment here is very conducive unlike my previous school, we are less than twenty in a class compared to the hundreds of students in a small class at my former school.
If I still topped the class with all the many challenges, then you should not in any way worry about how I am performing. My only fear is that I might just be proven to be a genius over here.
At this juncture, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to you for funding my education in this new school. I am having the best of experiences all thanks to you. I aim to make you proud as always and I will.
Love you to the moon and back.
Jennifer.
Letter Seven
Dear Emeka,
Before you wonder why I am being so nice to have thought of sending you this letter, let me tell you the truth. We were given a test to write a letter to our brothers telling them about our performance in our current school. So this is just rough work to test my letter-writing skills. You should not feel too special.
You know I never wanted to attend an all-girls secondary school right? My only reason for accepting this is because I was tired of having to go everywhere with you. After all, we were twins.
I disliked how girls came to form fake friendships with me while they just wanted to get to meet you all along.
By the way, what did you put in your stew that makes these girls drool over you? It’s a good thing you were sent to an all-boys school too so that you will be focused. So thank me for bringing up this idea to our parents.
Before I get carried away and forget the actual point of my letter, how has your performance at school been? Mine is just here, for now, I’m trying to understand what my American teachers say.
I don’t know if it’s a village problem but sometimes I can’t seem to decipher what they mean. I hope I don’t fail the English language. I have spoken to my counselor about it and she preferred some solutions. I hope to get positive results when I start working on them.
Write back, telling me about your new school and the experience there. For the record, I don’t miss you. Try to stay out of trouble Emeka.
Your big sister by a minute,
Amaka is the greatest.
Letter Eight
Dear Brother Charlie,
Congratulations on your new bundle of joy. When I saw the pictures of your daughter, I screamed ‘My ovaries’. Together with your wife, you both made an angel in human form. I cannot wait to begin big aunty duties when I am chanced to visit you.
Concerning my performance at school, Brother Charlie, this semester has thrown its fair share of challenges my way I won’t lie.
The good news is that, despite facing setbacks, I have managed to stay on course and maintain steady progress. My performance reflects discipline, resilience, determination, and consistency.
I have been able to get to the three hundred level without a single carryover because your stories of being excellent amid challenges have been an inspiration to me. I have learned to embrace obstacles as opportunities needed to strengthen my character and so far, it has only paid off positively.
I have lots of personal fists for you and look forward to seeing you soon.
Take care of yourself, your wife, and my baby.
Love you,
Ada.

I am writing to tell you about my performance at my current school. This term, I have experienced a revolution in my learning approach.

A lot of transformation has taken place in my academic life and I’m proud to announce to you that I am no longer an average student. I have gotten above average. Your advice on hanging around winners has brought me this far and I love how much I have evolved.
Letter Ten.
Hi Brother Tee,
Thank you for asking about me and my performance in school.
Things had not been going well with me in school, I got involved with a senior student who was a major distraction to me in school, and at the end of the day, I got heartbroken.
I am not even proud of my grades. It is difficult now but the pain of this heartbreak is enough to motivate me to get onto something serious.
I have promised not to get into any relationship until I become a proper adult because even if I look chubby, I am only a little girl and the most important thing right now is my academics.
Thank you for always being one person I can open to about anything, I am blessed to have a brother like you.
Your little sister,
Ella.
